Hi everybody,
Ok, I have a little bit of an ulterior motive setting up this group
right now. Sustainable Fairfax is hosting a Sustainable Spring
Festival on March 22nd. And part of it will be educating on raising
chickens in your backyard. I will be creating a handout of 15 things
learned about chickens in the first year. It will include local
resources for finding the stuff you need and information that you know
you wish you knew before getting chickens. And of course I want your
help, because I know you learned things that we did not. I also just
really thought this would be a good place to pool information for the
the chicken trend that is hitting Fairfax. Oh yeah I found a vet in
San Rafael who treats chickens if needed. I will post resources as
they develop.
