Hello Fairfax American Little League families –

The snow has almost all melted, Temps in the 50’s and maybe 60 this
week, it’s time for some baseball.

Evaluations for AA, AAA and Majors are This Saturday the 19th.
Juniors is Saturday the 26th at Fairfax High School.

Who should come to evaluations? Every player that wants to play AA,
AAA, Majors ages 7 to 12, or Juniors ages 13 and 14. If your child is
4 to 7 and only wants to play T-ball or Single A you do not need to
come to evaluations.

Evaluations: Evaluations will be held on Saturday Feb 19th at Fairfax
High School. We have aligned evaluations by age (that's Little League
age, basically how old your player will be on April 30th)

All players interested in playing AA (kid pitch) or higher must attend
evaluations, unless your child played Majors in the Spring 2010 season
and will be returning to Majors this Spring. Those returning Majors
players will return to the same Majors team this Spring.

***If you cannot attend evaluations, you must contact the American
League player agent (Tom Heller, tomhel...@gmail.com in ADVANCE
(by 1:00PM Friday Feb 18th).***

We will be holding a make-up date on the 26th, but the time is very
limited for the make ups, so we REALLY would like everyone to attend
on Feb 19th.

The schedule for American League evaluations is as follows:

7 and 8 Year Olds - 8:00AM - 9:30AM (only 7 year olds interested in
playing AA or higher should attend, and all 8 year olds should attend
evals)
9 Year Olds - 9:30AM - 11:00AM
10 Year Olds - 11:00AM - 12:45PM
11 and 12 Year Olds - 1:45PM - 4:15PM

Please arrive 15 minutes before your start time so that you sign your
child in and receive their evaluations number. We will do our best to
stay on schedule!!

What should your child bring to evaluations? Glove, Bat and Helmet (if
you have them), if not we will have them to borrow for evaluations.
Please wear tennis shoes, NO CLEATS!

There are NO evaluations for T-Ball or Single A (Machine Pitch), those
teams will be assigned by the league and are typically neighborhood or
school based when possible.

Junior league evaluations will be held Saturday Feb 26 at Fairfax High
School from 8pm-10pm, more info to follow.

Registration: If you have not registered or know someone that hasn't,
it's not too late. Registration is open at www.FairfaxLL.com

Volunteers: We always need volunteers. Little League cannot be
successful without your help. Please visit the volunteers page for
more information. http://www.fairfaxll.com/Page.asp?n=44024&snid=kHMD%5E1K7V&org=fairfaxll.com

Composite Bats: Little League International has issued a moratorium on
many composite bats. Please make sure your child's bat is approved
before bringing it to evaluations, practice or games. This is a safety
issue and we must protect all players and volunteers. The links to
composite bat information can be found at

Looking forward to a great season!!
