Hello American League families,
Happy New Year and I hope everyone has a great holiday season!!
It’s January, but registration for Spring Baseball is Open and
Evaluations are just 7 weeks away (Sunday,February 19th)
You can register at
www.FairfaxLL.com
Spring Evaluations
Evaluations aren't that far away. Fairfax Little League player
evaluations will be held Sunday February 19, 2012 for AA-Majors and
Sunday February 26, 2012 for Juniors and higher at Fairfax High
School. All players that were not already on a major’s roster (from
the spring of 2011) must attend evaluations. Those players desiring to
play T-Ball or Single A need not attend; but, all players league age 7
(as of 4/30/12) and above desiring to play AA or higher must attend
the tryouts.
If you are not sure what level your child (7 or older) should play (A
or AA), we recommend bringing them to tryouts to get evaluated by the
coaches. You can also contact Dave Schatzman (American League Player
Agent,
dave...@yahoo.com) for more information or Kevin Shook
(American League T-Ball/’A’ Director,
sho...@gmail.com)
Parents at Tryouts -
Please plan for at least one parent per household to attend a Little
League workshop about creating a positive culture around youth sports
that focuses on teaching life lessons through sports.
We are all volunteers!!
Fairfax Little League can only succeed with the help of volunteers!
The League has no paid staff and depends upon countless volunteers for
everything from managing and coaching to umpiring to concessions,
field maintenance, fund raising, etc. You can volunteer to help by
contacting Mark Murphy at
mmu...@mooneygreen.com.
Managers and Coaches Wanted!
Each team needs a manager and at least 2 coaches. We had a great group
of managers and coaches volunteering to teach the great game of
baseball this past year and are looking forward to the Spring. If you
are interested in managing or coaching a team please send an email to
Scott Peirce at
sc...@tcwinc.net.
Umpires
Well-trained and interested umpires ensure a great season! The League
pays youth umpires, but relies heavily on volunteers for T-Ball
through Juniors. The League provides equipment and training. Visit our
Umpires Page to find out how you can offer your assistance.

Sponsors
We need sponsors to help pay for all those great things your kids use
each year. If you are interested (or know of anyone or an organization
who might be interested) in being a sponsor …please contact Dan
Drummond at
