W
e are pleased to announce the formation of the first University of Florida Progressive Caucus! The by-laws of the Caucus have been completed and are ready to be signed, officially founding the     organization. The UF Progressive Caucus is a network of progressive student groups uniting in the interest of common action and networking resources. It is the purpose of this organization to build a united front on progressive issues, promote membership and advocate the similar goals shared by all member organizations. The membership of this caucus is comprised of organizations that promote social, political, environmental, and economic progress.

If you are receiving this e-mail it is because your organization is a valued member of the Progressive Community in Gainesville.

We will be holding an official signing of the by-laws on:

Sunday October 14th at 6:00 p.m
At the Amphitheater outside the Reitz Union.

Please forward this e-mail to your organizational mailing list. We would like you to pass this information along to all members of your organization as we want all individuals interested in the success of the Caucus present for this potentially historic event. We also request one delegate to be selected to sign the by-laws,  officially establishing your organization's membership in the Caucus.

This cannot happen without the support of your organization. Please respond to this e-mail, and consider this an invitation for your participation and suggestions on this important mission. Also, please send the name of the delegate you have chosen to sign the by-laws in addition to the name of your organization as you would like it to appear in our records and documents.

By working together, sharing our common vision for progress, we can make real change on this campus!

In Solidarity,

The University of Florida Progressive Caucus

"It is wrong to expect a reward for your struggles.
The reward is the act of struggle
itself, not what you win. Even though
you can't expect to defeat the absurdity
of the world, you must make that attempt.
That's morality, that's religion.
That's art. That's life."
