Under the MSI directory, you can view the various versions of Driver. The files are compressed in zip format. We want to download the latest version, so scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the psqlodbc_13_01_0000-x64.zip file.
Note: On mac, brew install psqlodbc works just fine. But I am running into problems when using the compiled binary from that installation (psqlodbcw.so) on a linux machine -- it is giving me a mysterious file not found error when I try to reference it, even though it is there, so I believe I need to compile it on linux in order to get it to work.
EDIT2: I was able to get the installation process to complete after installing libpq-dev. after that, installing psqlodbc from source worked. however, there is no psqlodbc*.so -type driver file at the end of the installation, so I still can't use this to make my odbc connection. I made a separate question for that here
psqlODBC is the official PostgreSQL ODBC Driver. The source code for this driver was originally adopted from version 0.20 of PostODBC. The authors at that time were Christian Czezatke and Dan McGuirk. Later it was maintained by Julie Ann Case.psqlodbc.dsp can be used with Microsoft Visual C 6.0. psqlodbc.proj and psqlodbc.sln can be used with Microsoft Visual C 2005 Edition. The default build settings will create the following driver:
- UNICODE support.
- libpq and SSL equipped are supported.
- Kerberos are supported peculiar by psqlODBC.
- ODBCVER is 0x0351.
- The driver filename is "psqlodbc35w.dll".
