Google One is a subscription plan that gives you more storage to use across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. Plus, with Google One, you get extra benefits and can share your membership with your family.

When you send messages in Gmail, you can attach files from Google Drive, such as documents and photos. If the file exceeds the Gmail size limit, or if you want to collaborate on it with others, attach it from Drive.

Using a link column means I have to navigate to the folder, find the link, copy it, and then add it in Monday. Using the Drive integration would mean that I can find it the same way I find a file. Super useful.

Tried sending a link to a friend, and he said he had to download all the files to his phone to see them. When I tried to view my file on a private tab, it made me do the same. Is there a way for them to just be able to open the file without it needing to be downloaded? If not, is that a plan coming?

The NORDAC LINK variable frequency drive is the convenient NORD drive solution for flexible decentralized installation. The NORDAC LINK can be freely configured as required and can therefore be adapted to a large variety of applications. The NORDAC LINK can be quickly and simply installed thanks to its high level of pluggability. Commissioning and servicing is quick and simple due to the integrated maintenance switch and local manual control options.

I know it's possible to put an expiration date on file/folder access you share with individual people in My Drive (should be available in Shared Drives too but that's a whole other discussion). But currently there is no way to put an expiration date on public links that you create. This seems like a massive security flaw and a basic feature that is already available on every competing cloud document storage platform. Is this something that is planned to be implemented anytime soon? And how do other organizations monitor the files that are readily available on the web with these public links? Over time, I can foresee this becoming a massive compliance nightmare. Thanks.

If you are submitting a feature idea, be sure to explain the problem that you're trying to solve with the feature idea, not just the idea itself. For example, saying "when my users are trying to do 'A', they often get confused by the fact that the buttons to do 'X' and to do 'Y' look quite similar to each other, which leads to this unintended consequence" is far more likely to get fixed than a feature idea that just says "change the color of the button 'Y'".

Although the feature for linking local drives has not yet been released into Smartsheet, after some testing, I have found that the best alternative method would be to link a cloud drive (Google Drive, Drop Box) within your sheet for sharing files.

I also could use this feature, and submitted a request to that effect. My company doesn't organize our local files on a cloud drive primarily for compliance reasons (healthcare). Linking local drives would be extremely helpful for maintaining 5+ year histories of ongoing trials.Save Draft

Every Google Drive file, folder, and shared drive have associatedpermissions resources. Each resourceidentifies the permission for a specific type (user, group, domain, anyone)and role, such as "commenter" or "reader." For example, a file might have apermission granting a specific user (type=user) read-only access(role=reader) while another permission grants members of a specific group(type=group) the ability to add comments to a file (role=commenter).

When you're working with people on a sensitive project, you might want torestrict their access to certain files in Drive after a period oftime. For files in My Drive, you can set an expiration date tolimit or remove access to that file.

Permission lists for a folder propagate downward, and all child files andfolders inherit permissions from the parent. Whenever permissions or thehierarchy is changed, the propagation occurs recursively through all nestedfolders. For example, if a file exists in a folder and that folder is then movedwithin another folder, the permissions on the new folder propagate to the file.If the new folder grants the user of the file a new role, such as "writer," itoverrides their old role.

Inherited permissions can't be removed from a file or folder in a shared drive.Instead these permissions must be adjusted on the direct or indirect parent fromwhich they were inherited. Inherited permissions can be removed from items under"My Drive" or "Shared with me."

The Permissions resource doesn't ultimatelydetermine the current user's ability to perform actions on a file or folder.Instead, a Files resource contains a collection ofboolean capabilities fields used to indicate whether an action can beperformed on a file or folder. The Google Drive API sets these fields based onthe current user's permissions resource associated with the file or folder.

To check the capabilities, call files.get withthe fileId and the fields parameter set to the capabilities field. Forfurther information on returning fields using the fields parameter, seeReturn specific fields for a file.

The following code sample shows how to verify user permissions. The response returns a list of capabilities the user has on the file. Each capability corresponds to a fine-grained action that a user can take. Some fields are only populated for items in shared drives.

To change the role on a file or folder, you must know the source of the role. For shared drives, the source of a role can be based on membership to the shareddrive, the role on a folder, or the role on a file.

To determine the source of the role for a shared drive, or items within thatdrive, call permissions.get with thefileId, the permissionId, and the fields parameter set to thepermissionDetails field. To find the permissionId, usepermissions.list with the fileId. Tofetch the permissionDetails field on the permissions.list request, set thefields parameter to permissions/permissionDetails.

You can grant permissions on individual files or folders in a shared drive evenif the user or group is already a member. For example, Alex has role=commenteras part of their membership to a shared drive. However, your app can grant Alexrole=writer for a file in a shared drive. In this case, because the new roleis more permissive than the role granted through their membership, the newpermission becomes the effective role for the file or folder.

Ownership of files existing in "My Drive" can be transferred fromone Google Workspace account to another account in the same organization. An organization that owns a shareddrive owns the files within it. Therefore, ownership transfers are not supportedfor files and folders in shared drives. Organizers of a shared drive can moveitems from that shared drive and into their own "My Drive" whichtransfers the ownership to them.

Could someone please provide user friendly and easy steps on how to have Keepass linking with Google Drive so that we can access the passwords stored in Keepass in a shared folder within Google Drive.

If you want to link KeePass to Google Drive (save your password database directly to Google Drive in the cloud) you will need to install one of the third-party I/O & Synchronization plugins such as KeeAnywhere, or KPGoogleSync. The plugin developers are responsible for providing documentation and support for their plugins.

Check the path of the database that you are opening in KeePass. It should be in a local Google Drive folder. The KeePass menu File>Open Recent lists opened database paths. Open files are blue and with the word '(Opened)' at the end. In your case, there should only be one open database (at the location you saved to in step 2) plus at least one more unopened database (at the original location). If the opened database is not in a local Google Drive folder, close the open database (Ctrl+W). Then select and open the database that is in a local Google Drive folder.
