For example, does a program or method exist that could 'download' the entirety of, say, 'GameFAQs' so that it can be viewed if my internet is out or in the unlikely event that the site goes offline? Meaning I could click every link within the site and it would work due to it being stored on local storage? Obviously I realize that this would be a snapshot of the site at the time of download, and would not be the same as the live site. I just used GameFAQs as an example because of the extensive links leading to FAQs and message boards that would need to be archived.

I know a number of us here use Indigo regularly. This is worth calling attention to since it's now no longer just a service outage. At this point in time they aren't disclosing any details, only saying that the website will remain down for the foreseeable future and physical stores will be cash only.

Feb 17: Still very little progress. Indigo's really stressing that personal and payment information wasn't stolen. They've set up a temporary 'window shopping' website (look at books, show up in store). It's extremely lacking (20 book series only has 7 volumes listed) and more than a little pointless. Ransomware seems all but confirmed by that if you ask me, they've lost the previous website if this is their move.

Feb 22: They don't seem to have announced this (at the time of writing) but their temporary website appears to allow online purchasing now. However, it's still extremely barebones. Listed stock is laughable, there are no account features, it's just not up to snuff yet. I stand by my previous assessment, they're probably starting completely from scratch and rebuilding their database. Here's hoping wishlists weren't lost on top of everything else, it'd be annoying to try to redo that.

I have a simple WordPress website hosted on the lowest tier on Lightsail. It receives almost no visitors so these resources should be more than sufficient, but I have to reboot the server every other week as the website becomes inaccessible. The metrics shown on the Lightsail dashboard don't reveal any serious changes in CPU etc. usage.

I want to download a website for offline use. I know how to save a single website, but what I am looking at is a bit different. The website I want to save is a directory type page with about 80 or so links that go to different sub-categories. Is there a way to easily download a website as well as all links that are on the page? Rather than going to each link and saving each page individually and losing the ease of the directory.

I need to archive some websites in their current state for a documentary. What is the best/most efficient way to do this? Happy to pay for anything that is reliable and straightforward (ie it doesn't have to be free software). Thanks!

I had a problem that the reseller of the server didn't paid the host and my website was down for a couple of days. I'm worried about the influence on the rankings. In almost 9.5 years or was the first downtime of more than 30 minutes. Normally it has an uptime that's near perfect so I'm wondering what the effect can be and if there's anything I can do about it.

I know how to download an individual web page for offline viewing, but is it possible to download an entire website with all its subdomains offline? My particular use case is for an online wiki for a game I enjoy playing. Ideally, I would have an offline copy of the website, where I could use its search bar to go to various pages, just as if I was using it with a normal internet connection. I realize that this would take up a decent amount of storage space, but I have a good amount on my phone available for use.

I bought a series of online Microsoft Excel courses a while back. They were supposed to be "lifetime" access but the company is folding and they're going offline in a couple months. I guess I should be thankful that they at least gave that much notice.

I will offer a small bounty for anyone who can successfully download all 4 of my courses intact and viewable offline, including the videos. I want the actual videos, not links, as I assume Vimeo will delete them when the company stops paying for space.

There have been 7 posts in the past 5 hours in regards to the app and website being down. Trust me, not just the customers who are frustrated, but the employees who are struggling fulfilling orders and are getting yelled at by guests in person or on the phone because of these technical difficulties. Hopefully, it'll get fixed soon, but I promise you, the Beauty Advisor who is at the register or answered your phone doesn't have any control over what IT does. We don't have any capability to fix it in-store or over the phone. Please just be patient, and give it a couple of hours. We understand you're frustrated you're missing the GWPs and sales you're excited for, but spamming this reddit or taking it out on employees isn't going to fix it or make it work faster.

Please disable this "feature". Nobody needs to see an offline version of a page. or at least allow us to toggle it. It's getting really annoying that all of my web pages show as offline when I close the browser and come back. I cannot force them online. if this is not fixed in the very near future I will be leaving the brave ecosystem and going to Firefox.

Has anyone been experiencing a significant slow down to the website? I'm from the Philippines and I've been suffering from this issue for Canva only. Other sites run smoothly but canva takes almost 3-5 mins to load. It's negatively affected my productivity. Glad to find this community here.

My friend and I are trying to build this website together, and we can't meet up because of quarantine. What we want to do is to create a coding file that allows both of us to edit whenever we please, regardless of the host being online or not. We'd also like to share the same live, interactive private server, which instantly updates whenever a change to the source code is made. I'd also like to know how other major companies do this (how all the employees edit the same app) and how we could do that on our own. If you have a solution to this, please comment! I'll donate you my free award :)

Either it was the people at DatPiff who requested it to be shut down, or their web server was suspended by their web provider because they either didn't pay to keep their website up or their subscription to whatever web provider they have ended and didn't renew.

I want to disable the ability for the pixel 4a to download a page and save it for later. It will every once in a blue moon give me a little box to get a live page but if I refresh the page it just gives me the downloaded version again. I clear the cache and still the downloaded copy. I hate this feature especially on news sites when I want to check for updates. Or you know reddit and checking for replies to see if I can fix this issue.

As you may know, since the Gfycat acquisition by Snap (creators of Snapchat), Gfycat has basically stopped its operations. There is radio silence from the staff, uploads are not working for over 2 months. Now the website is not available because of the SSL certificate that has expired today. This is a silly technical issue, meaning that there is no one that's keeping an eye on the platform.

If the Gfycat / Snap staff have allowed such a trivial but critical situation to occur, then it's very clear that the website has already been forgotten and these may be the last days we can still access the content.

Right now, the website is still "fully" working, and it's just your browser blocking the access, due to expired certificates (security reasons - HSTS policy enabled on Gfycat servers).

So recently i had taken a programing course online for python. The course has a website i have to login with to access the contents of the course. And a professor takes me throughthe course twice a week. But the course is coming to a end.And i want to save the course for future reference. The website has a built-in python text editor/compiler.So i want to save the course's content for future reference.

I have seen people talk about wmcentre online, so I tried it out. I also made sure to buy from a reputed seller I had heard about online called "Seyter". It was being sold for 54.29 rubles. However, when I proceeded to pay through some digital payment website called Lava, the price immediately changed to 54.29 dollars instead. So, I don't know what website to use or what payment method to utilize.

There's a threshold at 1,000 items, which is both pretty high and pretty low, and it's on purpose because a) server time costs money, b) unlimited requests could be construed as website attacks and c) we want to get things right before releasing the tool into the wild (the code is already free and open-source though, so feel free to copy and run on your own machines if you so wish). for those willing to test, zim files are currently readable on Kiwix-android and Kiwix-serve only at the moment.

I have a software called IDM (Internet Download Manager). I use it to download different things. It has a feature called 'Grabber' that can download the entire website to your computer with all the files.

I've tried a few programs and nothing captures what I assume is the javascript/coding of the webpage. I know I can just use images of it for my design potfolio, but it's my wedding website and I would have liked to keep an offline version that is properly formatted with the scroll effects, etc.

Do not ask Reddit users to hack/attack/insult/report/spam/prank/doxx another user (or your own account) on either Reddit or Instagram. When posting screenshots please remove all visible usernames and profile pictures. Leaving an IG user's username for others to report is against the rules here and on reddit. We do not condone witch-hunting. Yes IG is awful at reviewing reports and removing rule-breaking accounts, but that does not turn this subreddit into the team to handle it.

Because of the weekly Introduction thread, Automoderator will automatically remove any 'Follow me, follow train, etc' type threads to keep the subreddit free of lots of spam posts. Feel free to share your pictures though!
