While the program itself is fast and efficient, installing DriverPack Solution for the first time may be quite slow. The whole package is large and therefore slow to download (you do have the option of the DriverPack offline solution).

Another negative feature is that the large file size makes downloading the program painfully slow. Also, if you have an old version and you want to update to the DriverPack solution latest version you will need to reinstall it from scratch.

When it comes to installing, updating and managing your Windows drivers, DriverPack Solution is the Windows favorite. This does not necessarily mean it is the best though. Another plucky contender is Snappy Driver. This neat solution automatically updates your drivers and is also free. The inbuilt algorithm ranks drivers by compatibility (although some of the recommendations are only available in the paid Expert version).

None of these solutions will offer you in-depth information about your existing or newly updated drivers. If you are looking for detailed driver information, then you may like Driver Easy. This program does have a free version that includes information on certified Windows drivers. However to take advantage of the full array of features (driver comparisons, automatic restoring and system backup) you will need to upgrade to the paid version.

There are other great driver solutions for Windows users out there, including the aforementioned Snappy Driver, Driver Booster and Easy Driver to name but a few. DriverPack Solution is by far the most popular and you can see why. An intuitive user interface, multi-device compatibility, quick updates and completely free. Do download it and see for yourself!

I am using Driver Pack solution 12.3 to update my drivers. I used it and installed 55 drivers. I noticed that there are now several dozen new entries in add/remove programs under the name Windows Driver Package - Intel hdc, Windows Driver Package - Intel System, and Windows Driver Package - Intel USB with the driverpack solution logo next to them. When I hit uninstall for any of these, it says all devices using this driver will be removed, and I am scared of uninstalling anything I do not know about. I have no system restore points before I updated my driver. Will these extra driver packages slow down my computer or take up extra disk space? Can I uninstall them safely? I am using Windows 8, so refreshing the computer is an option.

I have used driverpack for years now since before windows 7, and I have NEVER had a problem with this, and it finds drivers from the internet that are even more updated than some of the one's off of the site, too!! It performs a Restore point before it changes Anything, and is a very handy program for finding missing drivers for your chipsets, because it actually reads the hardware registers and finds the Real drivers from it's database. So if you don't use it, don't just automatically dismiss it, because you are ignorant of it.

Windows 10 usually does not require a driver pack for basic functionalities, as it comes with an extensive database of pre-installed drivers. However, in certain cases where specialized or updated drivers are needed, or for users who prefer a more comprehensive driver update solution, tools like DriverPack Solution could be beneficial.

DriverPack Solution Online stands out as an intuitive, all-in-one solution for Windows driver maintenance. Its user-friendly interface, automation capabilities, and compatibility across devices make it a top choice for those looking to streamline the driver update process. If you're experiencing driver-related issues on your Windows system, DriverPack Solution might be the efficient solution you've been searching for. Give it a try and experience simplified driver maintenance firsthand!

If your solution does not have a driver package, you can manually create one in Visual Studio by choosing New > Project from the File menu. For examples of how to create a driver package, see Writing Your First Driver.

To manually create a new driver package for an existing solution that does not already have one, use the "Driver Install Package" template. Select File->New->Project. Then select Windows Drivers > Package > "Driver Install Package" from the dialog. Then in the Solution drop-down, select Add to solution and select Ok.

You can add multiple drivers and their packages to your solution. Similar to "Modifying an existing driver package" you can create a new driver solution, or add a reference to an existing one. If your solution already contains a driver package, you can modify it to reference additional driver projects in the solution.

If your initially downloaded driver (the .exe file) was stored in your Downloads folder, you will notice that a subfolder carrying the name of this downloaded driver (the .exe file) was automatically created inside the Downloads folder. Inside this subfolder you will find a Setup.exe file. You have to run this Setup.exe file (not the initially downloaded .exe driver file) to install the printer driver properly and to avoid the error message "A driver supporting solution menu X not installed".

I gave a solution in my previous posting. The trick, in my case, was to "Uninstall with RevoUninstallerPro" after a right click on the Canon folder in my Program Files section. Revo removed the Solution Menu X items remaining behind after my normal Control Panel uninstallation of Canon drivers. Once you have cleaned out the Soluton Menu X items, you have to re-install the necessary Canon drivers. You can search for them on the Canon website.

This software used to belong on our favorite driver updater programs list, but a recent malware check shows that several scanners identify DriverPack as malicious. We highly urge you to use an alternative like Driver Booster. The rest of this article is retained for informational purposes only and doesn't serve as a recommendation. If you want to try out this program despite this warning, you can download it at driverpack.io.

Test results show that the low-cost driver solution performs well at switching frequencies that are less than/equal to 150 kHz with or without the use of a heatsink or forced air for cooling. The solution ultimately achieved close to 99 percent efficiency in select configurations.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep the program in mind. I've used driverpack solution a few times now and it seems ok as long as I select 'drivers only'. With that, I don't see the OEM brand changed or anything (unless there's something going on in the background installing spyware or something, but who knows these days?)

i luckily found snappy driver installer while browsing driverpacks forum instead of using SAD2 - which is also nice - i gave SDI a shot and it worked for me fine too by using the old 2012 driverpacks.net packages as used for long time . in former times i used DP-BASE to integrate into smooth windowsXP cd's but stopped this end of 2008 and only kept using SAD1/2 with driverpacks on later windows7 machines instead of integrating into setup windows7 iso's .

anyways...long story short. while i always like to be on the cutting edge way of using driverpacks i saw "accidentally" that there are some russian or whatever/whereever they are located projects with "newer" driverpacks, so i did little google search and saw that SamLab provides SamDrivers 14.9 and another project with modified ISO DRP_14.9 etc.

both contain the 14.9 driverpacks which are from naming similar to the driverpacks.net files as you know by yourselves. So who's the original author and who's "fake" , i dont like at all those many .ISO packs spreading around the internet ;-)

Same question counts for Driverpacks 14.10.1 (latest obviously) too... perhaps it would make sense to have a sticky topic announcing latest SamLabs driverpacks 14.x including .torrent links - would make sense or ? or does he need ads/clicks on his site ;-)

i didnt say they - those 2 above - recommend, i say that other projects who use the packs sometimes promote to take their ISO so it's for me - non speaking .ru guy - not obviously easy to see "who" is the real author of the packs inside . So SamDrivers is SamLab.ws -> so original author website this is ?, anyone knows where to see exact driverpack list with all checksums e.g. some subsite there like here?

Reddit user Space192 and I found a driver solution for the USB Blaster on Windows 11 ARM. It has been tested on Windows 11 ARM Parallels for M1/M2 Macs and also on a Raspberry Pi 4. The solution is to use the FTDI ARM64 .SYS file with the Quartus USB Blaster x64 .DLL files.

All in all, DriverPack Solution Online emerges as a potent and convenient software solution for overseeing device drivers on Windows-based computers. Equipped with an extensive repository boasting over 1.1 million drivers, the software is adept at the prompt and uncomplicated detection and installation of suitable drivers for virtually any hardware component. This, in turn, delivers substantial time and effort savings to users engaged in the manual quest for drivers.

In the 1950s, John Wheeler envisioned such bundles as smooth configurations of electromagnetic energy that he called geons, but none were found. Instead, particle-like solutions were found in the late 1960s with the addition of a scalar field, and these were given the name boson stars. Since then, boson stars find use in a wide variety of models as sources of dark matter, as black hole mimickers, in simple models of binary systems, and as a tool in finding black holes in higher dimensions with only a single Killing vector. We discuss important varieties of boson stars, their dynamic properties, and some of their uses, concentrating on recent efforts. As compact, stationary configurations of scalar field bound by gravity, boson stars are called upon to fill a number of different roles. Most obviously, could such solutions actually represent astrophysical objects, either observed directly or indirectly through its gravity? Instead, if constructed larger than a galaxy, could a boson star serve as the dark matter halo that explains the flat rotation curve observed for most galaxies?and by working with gravity. Although the field is no longer static, as shown in Sect. 2 the spacetime remains static. The star itself is a stationary, soliton-like solution as demonstrated in Fig. 1.In Sect. 2, we present the underlying equations and mathematical solutions, but here we are concerned with the physical nature of these boson stars. When searching for an actual boson star, we look not for a quantized wave function or even a semiclassical one. Instead, we look to a fundamental scalar to provide the bosonic material of the star. Only recently has a scalar particle been experimentally found with the discovery by the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) of the standard model Higgs boson with a mass roughly \(125\mathrm \ GeV/c^2\) (Aad 2012; Chatrchyan 2012; Khachatryan et al. 2015). Of course, other proposed bosonic candidates remain, such as the axion particle.Recognizing the Planck mass \(M_\mathrm Planck \equiv \sqrt\hbar c/G\), we obtain the estimate of \(M_\max = 0.5\,M^2_\mathrm Planck/m\). This simple estimate indicates that the maximum mass of the BS is inversely related to the mass of the constituent scalar field. We will see below in Sect. 2 that this inverse relationship continues to hold with the explicit solution of the differential equations for a simple mass term in the potential, but can vary with the addition of self-interaction terms. Indeed depending on the strength of the coupling m and the other parameters of the self-interaction potential, the size and mass of the boson stars can vary from atomic to astrophysical scales.Despite their connection to fundamental physics, one can also view boson stars in analogy with models of neutron stars. In particular, as we discuss in the following sections, both types of stars demonstrate somewhat similar mas
