Hi, there!
I am in the same position you were a year ago. Trying to decide if it pays to use zbrush modeling for cnc output. (wooden ornaments and frames) Or just artcam will do? Any advice? Thank you!

How is this helpful? Well, it shows you the anagrams of artcam scrambled in different ways and helps you recognize the set of letters more easily. It will help you the next time these letters, A R T C A M come up in a word scramble game.

The CARVECO company brings Artcam back to life. A newcomer has been published in which Carveco ltd announces to revive Artcam from its ashes. A rebranding operation by some Artcam specialists who have made a new company with the aim of continuing the development, sale, maintenance, and the support of artcam. The official statement by Carveco can be found here:

ive never really used exchange with my ArtCAM 2015 R2 SP3 (64-bit build 860) but i just started playing with .stl files and noticed there is a option to export .dwg files. Does this create a .dwg 3D file in AutoCAD? i get the attached error when trying to create an account to activate. How do i fix this if possible.

Exporting as DWG, they are exported as a 2D vector file, not a 3D file. If you select the vectors then go export and select the DWG format then you shouldn't get the voucher pop-up. You're most likely getting the voucher to purchase, as you a selecting a file format that is not included as a standard export format within ArtCAM.

Having fairly recently started using Artcam Express 2015 64 bit build 339, I am occasionally getting an error message "artcam is not responding", followed by "artcam has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. Any unsaved changes have been lost".

If you still encounter the same issue, please use Autodesk Screencast to create a screencast of the steps you're using when you encounter the crash and then embed your screencast when replying to this post.

In the event of a crash, we have configured ArtCAM to store information about its circumstances in a single file. This is known as a MiniDump. A MiniDump file (*.dmp) is particularly useful to the Development Team, as it enables us to examine what was happening at the exact point of the crash; this greatly improves the chance of identifying and fixing a rare or random crash that cannot be reproduced.

I would say the problem is random. It doesn't seem to matter what I am doing at the time, although it will never be anything very complicated as I am still very much a beginner. Possibly associated with text though. My computer is usually very well behaved.

Is your computer connected to a network? Do you have any anti-virus or anti-malware software running on your computer at the same time as you're working in ArtCAM Express 2015.SP4 (64-bit build 339)? Please confirm.

Many thanks for confirming that, although you have not yet commented on whether your computer is connected to a network or whether any anti-virus or anti-malware software is running on your computer at the same time as you're working in ArtCAM Express 2015.SP4 (64-bit build 339).

Please continue to monitor the situation when you're working in ArtCAM Express 2015.SP4 (64-bit build 339). If you encounter another crash, please retrieve and share the associated MiniDump file (*.dmp) as previously directed.

Many thanks for confirming that. Provided the /norms command is now included in your ArtCAM 2015 (64-bit) desktop shortcut's Target field, ArtCAM should not seek out a licence server on your local network; this could potentially be the reason you've previously encountered a warning message stating that the hardware key is not responding, and a subsequent crash. I do not think that Microsoft Security Essentials is a contributing factor.

The problem is that using ArtCAM 2017 SP5 does not open the .art file. The message I get the following error: "ArtCAM has encounter a problem and needs to close" Completely wiped the ArtCAM was doing a clean installation. Then I installed SP3 remaining error, then SP5 or five and error is the same. ArtCAM is deleted during the Win10 registry entries before the clean install, to AppData, the program data, program files, and temp below ArtCAM entries. What might be the problem? A thank you in advance for your answers.

In the event of a crash (if ArtCAM shuts down after the message), we have configured ArtCAM to store information about its circumstances in a single file. This is known as a MiniDump. A MiniDump file (*.dmp) is particularly useful to the Development team, as it enables us to examine what was happening at the exact point of the crash; this greatly improves the chance of identifying and fixing a rare or random crash that cannot be reproduced.

Dear Shirish!
Only ArtCAM file is created during 2017, ArtCAM previous version is not inherited. You also will trip if I start a new project. All files created in ArtCAM when you open the indicated exit with an error. The MiniDump see attached file.
Thanks

Many thanks for sharing your Hiba.mp4 and Andalz.art files. I have no issue with opening your Andalz.art file in Autodesk ArtCAM Standard 2017 Service Pack 5 (build 270) using any of the following methods:

Dear Dillon! If the CTR + O key combination or File> Open I open the Andalz.art or .art file you just crash the ArtCAM. The Help> About During writes that the working SP5. Not the last MiniDump file I attached one took my time a little but now the last of which is appended hereto writing the message was unsuccessful ArtCAM startup. Thanks ffz1974

If this does not resolve your reported issue with Autodesk ArtCAM Standard 2017 Service Pack 5 (build 270) crashing when opening your Andalz.art file, I'll report the issue to the Development team for further investigation.

Dear Dillon! Right-click the ResetArtCAM2017Workspace.exe file, then select Run as administrator to run the context menu option solved the problem, all the .art file is loaded properly in ArtCAM working properly. Thank you very much.

What build of ArtCAM Express 2013 are you working in? To confirm this, select the Help > About ArtCAM Express menu option in your ArtCAM Express software. For example, ArtCAM Express 2013.SP4 (64-bit build 303).

Im having problems when cutting arcs on my omnitech flat bed router.. The machine doe not cut in a nice fluid motion, rather cuts in small jittery movements that i think are heard on the machine.. As this does not happen when im cutting arcs that i designed in my other software im assuming that its a post processor issue.. Can anyone help with that??

What version and build of ArtCAM Insignia are you working in? To confirm this, select the Help > About ArtCAM Insignia menu option in your ArtCAM software. For example, ArtCAM Insignia 2015 R2.SP3 (64-bit build 860).

As you mentioned that the machine runs smoothly with another software; try comparing the output from that software with ArtCAM. Check whether they are using I, J or R in output to define a circular move??

Also let us know which Post Processor are you using? I assume you must be using a Post Processor which doesn't support Arc moves and hence the problem. If you can provide us the above mentioned information then I can help you in this.

Ill attach the art file of the parts that I`m having problems with. I created a 2D profile tool path and used Omnitech_Arcs_TC.con that came with the software as my post. Ill attach the cut file as well..

To further debug the problem can you please recreate a similar project in the software which output works properly on your machine and send over the output for it so that I can look into it and can help you in this?

i did update to the latest build and that didn`t solve the problem. Its seems like the bigger the radius of the arc the more pronounced the unevenness of the movement. i just tried cutting a 16 in circle and even tough the movement was smooth it was only cutting at 25% of the cut speed in the toolpath..
