Introducing DC8C
DC8C is one of the most flexible compressors around.
While making a lot of different compression styles possible, it's general nature may be described as: clear, smooth, open, distinct.
The main goal while designing DC8C was to get a very clean compressor action without unwanted and often almost inevitable artifacts/distortion. This way you can achieve almost invisible compression for your most demanding mastering sessions, when you want to avoid coloration.
If you aim for color you can choose between two saturation models.
From opto-style, peak compression, external side-chaining, RMS compression, Feedback, Feedforward compression (and everything in-between) to negative ratios, zero latency brick-wall limiting, from snappy transient treatment to smooth transient rounding - everything is possible.
DC8C is available in the following formats (all included in a single license):
Windows (64bit): VST, VST3, AAX Native for ProTools 11 or higher
macOS: AU, VST, VST3, AAX Native for ProTools 11 or higher

The ENERGY STAR Emerging Technology Award (ETA) is given to innovative technologies that meet rigorous performance criteria to reduce energy use and lower greenhouse gas emissions. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is pleased to recognize Refrigerators with Advanced Adaptive Compressors for the ENERGY STAR Emerging Technology Award for 2020-2021.
Products that meet the performance criteria (PDF, 66 KB) will be listed on a Qualified Product List once it is determined that all Award criteria have been satisfied. Manufacturers can submit documentation for eligible advanced adaptive compressor products to Emergi...@energystar.gov
In a conventional refrigerator, the compressor operates at maximum capacity in response to thermal load, or it is turned off when the desired temperature has been achieved. However, the energy consumption requirements of a refrigerator vary widely based on various factors. An advanced adaptive compressor system in residential refrigeration products pairs an inverter compressor with a sensor-driven control system capable of cooling capacity modulation in response to a varying internal thermal load. As a result, the advanced adaptive compressor system allows for the refrigerator to save a significant amount of energy while regulating the temperature by minimizing wide temperature variations. The per unit efficiency increases by at least 25% with this technology when compared to standard units. If all refrigerators sold in 2020 in the U.S. used this technology and met these draft criteria, the energy cost savings would exceed $160 million.
Support, it's our responsibility to provide you with thorough and efficient inspection, and repair turbine services. Additionally, we also offer turbine services such as part retrieval and removal jobs, as well as detailed cleaning services. If you're working at an energy plant or involved with the operation of turbine machines in any way, you need to make sure that every aspect of the machine, from its base to the smallest detail is fully functioning and as clean as possible.
Since gas turbines operate at such high temperatures, you can't just handle any maintenance, inspection, or cleaning jobs yourself. You'll not only be putting yourself in immediate danger if you attempt to handle your turbine maintenance yourself, but you'll be putting everyone else working on site at risk.
After our thorough inspection, our skilled team will attempt to issue a final report within 24 hours. All data and results will be discussed with the main contact before the inspector leaves the work site. Doing this inspection and performing these compressor turbine services in a timely fashion will save millions of dollars in both repair costs and lost hours of productivity.
Our team will help you identify any issues that could be affecting your machines or your day-to-day workplace operations. Don't just ignore any turbine-related issue because even the smallest problem can grow into a costly and even dangerous situation.
If you're in need of compressor turbine services and want to learn more about combustion and steam turbines or electric generators, contact us today at Advanced Turbine Support. Visit us as 6280 SW 103rd St. in Gainesville, Florida or call us at 352-332-4061.
Product Research and Development today means modern advanced compressor technology and up-to-date products tomorrow. That's why we continuously increase investments in our research, development & testing activities. Our activities in this field have shown an extensive growth. Today about a tenth of all employees are dedicated to R&D. For extra input and fresh ideas we have strong connections to leading universities.
What does that mean for you?
We use stage-of-the-art software for 3D-CAD, FEM and Flow dynamics simulation. Our dedicated model shop equipped with machining centers and 3D-measuring equipment makes prototypes at the concept phase. And finally all prototypes are tested for thermodynamic and acoustic performance in our laboratories with fully automated calorimeters, climate rooms and acoustic rooms. To complete performance evaluation all products are subjected to a thorough cycle of endurance testing and tests to failure. More than two hundreds testing stands designed to duplicate the most severe run conditions with HFC and HCFC refrigerants guarantee long life-time characteristics to the product design.
A key component of most fuel cells, a compressor is used to force air into the fuel cell stack, where it is used as an oxidant to produce a reaction with hydrogen ions and electrons at the fuel cell cathode. The higher the pressure of the reactant gases, the greater the performance of the fuel cell. However, as compressor performance decreases at higher altitudes with reduced air pressure, temperature and density, the unit must be designed to compensate efficiently without added weight or complexity.
The company is currently finalizing the design for certification of the ZA600 powertrain and its installation on the Caravan, having completed tests of the prototype propulsion system this July on a Dorner 228 testbed. The demonstrator powertrain tested included a fuel cell system and battery pack in the fuselage powering an electric motor in the nacelle.
