Dear PG Students
It is mandatory to take prior approval of Ph.D. supervisor & head for research scholars to avail leave. Leaves without prior approval of the  Ph.D. supervisor & head will not be sanctioned. In case of exceptional emergencies, the reason for absence with proper justification must be communicated  to the supervisor (via email) for consideration and permission. If approved by the supervisor duly signed leave applications for these days must be submitted for these days at the time of joining.
Also standard log in & log out time (office note enclosed) must be followed to record presence in the biometric system. In case of biometric shut down (if any, especially at log out time when the office is closed), a photo of inoperative biometric must be clicked to justify the same.
It should be noted that the stipend sheet will be finalized only on the basis of biometric record (not by the attendance register muster) as it authenticates your presence duration in the department. Nevertheless, it is mandatory to punch the biometric & sign the attendance register muster as well.
Failure to comply with these rules will lead to stipend deduction accordingly without prior intimation & exemption.

Dear PG Students,
It is mandatory to take prior approval of project supervisor/faculty advisor & head for research scholars to avail leave. Leaves without prior approval of the project supervisor/faculty advisor will not be sanctioned. In case of exceptional emergencies, the reason for absence with proper justification must be communicated  to the supervisor (via email) for consideration and permission. If approved by the supervisor duly signed leave applications for these days must be submitted for these days at the time of joining.

It is hereby instructed that students must inform the office in case of non-recognition of the fingerprints in the biometric machine. The issue will be addressed immediately for successful log in/out. The non-recognition of fingerprints does not exempt students from the stipulations of the biometric attendance & leave rules.
Failure to comply with these rules will lead to stipend deduction accordingly without prior intimation & exemption.

With reference to the previous mail, it is hereby instructed to strictly follow the 'standard minimum 8 hours/day working rule (as per office note enclosed)' even though biometric machine marks presence (P) for duration below eight hours. The 8 hour working duration (along with P mark) will be verified from the biometric at the time of stipend processing. This is for your kind information & necessary action.
