We recently decided to move our Factory Nova installation from a
current ISP VPS Linux solution to a new internal Windows 2008 R2
server. I used the licensed commercial non IonCube build v1.3.1 from
the Stuffed Guys website. When I try to browse over to the
installation I get nothing but text all over the screen. When the
exact same build is unzipped in my Linux box I am able to browse to it
and see it fine.
This seems like a linefeed carriage return difference in the PHP files
from Linux to Windows so I tried FTPing the files over but that didn't
help. I also tried a couple of different utils to convert the files
from Linux to Windows but was unsuccessful. Not even entirely sure if
that is the problem.
Has anyone experience this? Does anyone have any suggestions? Has
anyone successfully run Factory Nova on Server 2008 R2?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Sounds like PHP is not configured properly on your new server. Instead
of parsing the php files the web server just sends them to the browser
as is.
Try creating a test.php file with
<?php phpinfo() ?>
inside, open it in the browser and see if it will print out PHP
installation info or just its contents. If you only see the file
contents then the PHP is not configured properly on your server.
