Hi everyone!

I'm planning to run generalised procrustes analyses with data obtained using free choice profiling. The GPA() function seems very helpful to run these analyses.

From what I can see, the function is able to perform all planned steps in the analyses, but I'm not entirely sure if I can enter the data that I'm planning to collect. Through free choice profiling I will have a number of observers come up with descriptive terms for different objects. Each observer is free to choose their own terms. Hence, I will obtain m matrices (one/observer), containing n rows (one/object) * p columns (one/term).

This means that each observer can/will end up with a different number of terms (thus, columns). Normally, we add zeros to complete each column.

From the documentation I found that df = a data frame with n rows (individuals) and p columns (quantitative variables).

Does anyone has an idea if/how can enter the data I'm planning to collect?

Many thanks in advance!
Daan

Hi,
Yes you can use the function GPA.
You will have 1 df with n rows and p columns, and then you use the argument group to list the number of columns (terms) used by each group (observer in your case).
