Hi,

I am using RStudio on a Mac and when I run HCPC I end up with a graphics error.  PCA works and plots just fine.  Can you fix the HCPC plots to work like those in PCA?  Or is there some work around that I can use (besides not using R Studio)?  For HCPC I can get the 2-D plot of Hierarchical Clustering with the inertia gain in the corner, but not the others.

When I get these errors the results of HCPC aren't saved, so it is more than just figuring out how to make the plots!

res.hcpc=HCPC(res.pca, nb.clust=-1, consol=TRUE)
Error in plot.new() : figure margins too large
In addition: Warning message:
In (function ()  : Only one RStudio graphics device is permitted

Thanks,
Rachael

Hi, with the last version of FactorMineR 1.24 you should not encountered
the problems,
Best,
Julie.

Hi Julie,

I think it my problems must be related to how RStudio is handling graphics (not very well!) in R 3.0.0 since I am running FactorMineR 1.24.  Most of the time I do actually get the second plots, but they are sharing a window and too small to read.  But, the graphics from PCA work quite well.

Thanks for your help,
Rachael

Hi,

I also have some problems with plotting HCPC maps on RStudio, I the problem is in parameters for plot, I can get a big factor map only by running for times the plot function, so first it plots small graphs.
The result is in the attachment.
Do someone have an idea how to fix it ?

Thanks,
Andrey

The last issue that I describer was resolved by resetting mfrow parameter par(mfrow=c(1,1)) before doing plot, an obvious solution...
