Hi everyone,

As preparation for imputing data with the imputePCA function of missMDA, I have run estim_ncpPCA on the data in order to estimate the number of dimensions to include in the the imputation. This outputs ncp=0, which must mean that the correct number of dimensions to include is 0. However, I cannot find an explanation for exactly how imputePCA works when ncp is set to 0.

The documentation for the missMDA package explains the consequence of setting ncp=0 when using imputeMCA but not imputePCA.

All the best,
Yonatan

Hi,

When ncp=0, it means that there is no link between variables and the best imputation is the imputation by the mean of the variable.

All the best
