I figured you guys would appreciate this,

Saturday I took Caleb to the playground. Alyson hadn't been feeling well so I wanted to give her a chance to rest. Not thinking too much about it I wore my Superman shirt. There were a fair number of kids at the part and we were there for a while. After being there for about 45 minutes, dealing with one kid who decided it was necessary to push Caleb around (apparently for the crime of being a baby) a new batch of kids showed up. I was watching Caleb climb around on the 'train' and didn't really notice until I heard one of the kids yell "Daddy! Look its Superman!" The official story is now that I'm not actually Superman, just a friend who he let borrow a shirt.

I think what I find funniest is that this isn't the first time this has happened. A little over a month ago I was sitting at the Pizza shop waiting for my order and an old man walked up with two 3-5 year old girls trailing behind him. They were too nervous to talk to me directly but they wanted to know if I was really Superman.

Yeah? Lets go with that as I don't think it'll get any more complimentary than that.

The cynic in me says "poor diluted children", but the kid in me says " that 's awesome, dude!". :-)

I just figured Bob was under the belief that children should be dunked in water.

Or possibly it was a reference to how the term 'children' once was used only for individuals between birth and puberty but now the prolife movement has been pushing the age downward to illustrate the death of fetuses as the 'killing of children' and on the other side we are seeing individuals as old as college students (if not older) being treated as 'children' still under their parent's wings. It was a deep and insightful comment on the direction our society is taking.

Perhaps place them in some sort of large glass tube Empire Strikes Back style, on “ice” one might call it; located in some super-villain lab...heh!

Maybe the water used for dunking was 'hard water'.

Actually, I've been thinking about that since I posted it.

Campaign idea:

Year is 1692 in Salem MA, players are young teens who begin developing
"abnormal" abilities as their mutant genes begin to awaken. This of
course causes acusations of witchcraft as the people have never seen
this before leading the heroes to run for their lives.
