Hey everyone!

It looks like everyone's too busy to agree to GM.  I understand that, though I might try to work on stuff over spring break.  I was wondering what was going on with everyone.

First the personal stuff.  The contractors finally told me that my home will be finished around May 1st!  How appropriate.  This summer, I'll invite you guys to come over and maybe even play.  I'm so glad that this project is coming to an end.  It was supposed to be complete last August.

A summer game would be more than excellent. Liz and I are busily trying to buy a house (perhaps one even further afield than the one we live in now!) so I'm not devoting my full attentions to gaming. Sad.

Hey,
Well.. haven't been too busy during the week but when it gets around
to it, my weekends always seem to be filled up on me. I've got a
wedding coming up in April and then my wife's 10 year college reunion
in May. So summer might be a good time.

That said, I have a fairly solid idea for the arc I'd like to run.
Having gone over it, I'm actually looking to have it set in the 50s -
the 80s so it shouldn't really cross paths with anything Liz is
planning to do. Down side, particularly if people are busy, is that it
requires new characters. If people are feeling experimental however,
we could try using the M&M Lite rules from the Annual #2 to whip up
characters at the table. I could even host. (Crazy I know).

Good luck with the housing situation. I can't even begin to imagine
having to deal with a 9 month delay on contractors. Looking forward to
seeing the new place and going through Teen Machine try outs. Oh, and
enjoy your spring break.

Between house shopping (and hopefully moving) and the freelancing I've been doing, I'm probably not going to be able to run any time in the near future.

So, Bill and Charles, you guys can arm wrestle to see who goes first!

What are the guidelines for making characters for this?  I know it was something about three legacy characters, but that's all I remember.

Basically, you're creating a pre-cataclysm legacy at PL 8, 10, and 12.
Because its a legacy and not a specific character, I expect it to be a
little on the generic side (ie. Batgirl and Robin would likely have
identical stats) but with an eye towards customizing in play.
(different uses of extra effort/alternate powers).

Because people are busy, and honestly just to change things up a
little.. I was thinking we'd use M&M Lite (from the Annual #2) for
character creation along with the Broad skill option from Mastermind's
manual. If you don't have those, don't worry. I was going to try and
write up a summary this week or next.

The three time periods are the 50's, the 80's and something inbetween?

That sounds about right.
With the 3 adventure arc that I'm thinking of, that something in
between would probably lean more towards the earlier years.. but I
figure a 40 year time span would work for getting a variety of
interpretations on the characters in place.

We're skipping the '70's? Is that what you're trying to say?

I'm afraid so. I'll let someone else pick up that mantle. Poor Mayday
missed out on the 70s so why shouldn't we?

Hey Guys,
Finally got off my butt and created a PDF set of guidelines for the next arc.

http://www.darktouch.net/supers/2009may/omega_legacies_guidelines

It will be a little fiddly but I think we should be able to get a full
character with it in say 45 minutes to an hour. I've been trying to
find a simple Character sheet that can be printed on a large size
Index Card, but in the mean time either the basic sheet:

http://grfiles.game-host.org/2e_files/MMcharsheet3p.pdf

or this pretty simple sheet should work.
http://www.geocities.com/jhmcmullen/MM/Character_Sheet_PC.pdf (Color Version)
http://www.geocities.com/jhmcmullen/MM/Character_Sheet_PC_b_wpdf.pdf
(B&W Version)

Now to build some NPCs.
