Hello!

Sorry this reminder is coming so late!

The Facilitators Guild will meet today, September 21, at 2:30, at Foster Community Center, Room 211 or 213.  (CCED was not available).

Bob Brown has offered to provide the trigger for our planned time on "situation recognition" in facilitation.

Situations or problems requiring a solution can be mapped on two axes, one tracking the level of agreement/disagreement between people on what is happening, and the other on the degree of inherent certainty/uncertainty about what to do.  On such a graph, situations can be termed "simple" (e.g. making bread) "complicated" (building a rocket), "complex" (raising a child), or "chaotic" (surviving in wartime).  Bob will share his thoughts about how this type of "situation recognition" might inform approaches in facilitating for social change.

I hope to see you there.
