Hi All! How is everyone! I understand that some may not want their e-
mail accounts to be bombarded by Seattle-T.O. happenings. So after
acknowledging that- I apologize for this next post! Hahaha. Tonight is
a night that I am facilitating to introduce people to the work of T.O.
and using it for a clear purpose: diversity work. I thought since a
lot of us are interested in taking our T.O. work into their world of
social justice I'd share a generic extended workshop agenda that I
have facilitated in the past for anti-oppression trainings for youth.
I hope that works for ya'll since this space is all about sharing each
others work and working off each other. I hope some find this
information useful. The link is to a googledoc of the generic agenda.
I say generic because as facilitators we get to decide how intense/
slow we want to take it! Choose any warm-up or any style of debrief
that matches your situation/ style!

Thanks, Emma.

What is "Forum in groups"?    I know  you're busy so there's no rush about responding?

Oops! That just means similar to what Marc had done, split into
different groups of interest... In past workshops we just named 4
topics: Racism, Sexism, Imperialism, and Classism and had the group go
to the group they wanted to work with and then everyone presents their
plays and each play gets some spect-actor action!

Hey y'all!!

I've got a friend coming to Seattle and I'm hoping to connect him to some good folks, events and help while he is there. If you know of any sweet political happenings or have some free time to show him around or direct him to lovely places in your fantastic city, let him know. He's involved with some sweet Native solidarity work and actions in Arizona. Good stories, politics and actions. Also, he is traveling with a others who are driving a school bus. If you don't have any cool connections to provide him and could think of a good place for a 30 foot school bus to be parked for 1 night or 2 nights, let him know. As you y'all know, Seattle has limited parking space and he'd be ever so grateful for any advice on where to go for a safe place for a large-scale transportation. His name is Evan and his number is 651 497 4234 his email is evanha...@gmail.com.

In other news....

I did some TO at the AERO confrence in Portland. (Alternative Education) It was super fun and exciting to actually see a group of educators using image theater to show the complexities of the educational system. Next year, the faciliator (from this year) and I are planning on co-teaching a workshop on TO and then presenting a forum theater experience for the whole confrence. I may also have some good spaces to utilize TO in my community. I'll keep you posted on all these happenings!

Love to all y'all INSPIRING people!!

Cheers,
Sarah

p.s. please send any help and support to Evan that you can...he rocks!
