Hi everyone

I must send my apologies as I have been unable to attend some of the
meetings recently due to a very heavy workload at this time of the
year, I know that it is not really a good enough excuse!

However, I have been working behind the scenes to set up my part of
the mini conference, due to my presenters availability and my own
availability, my session will be on Wednesday 18 November at 1pm via
eluminate (view information http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Facilitating_Online/course_mini_conference)

This session will be used a question & answer session about how wikis
can be used to support teaching and education. Hilary Jenkins
(Programme Manager Travel & Tourism, School of Applied Business, Otago
Polytechnic) has been instrumental in developing wiki based resources
for her the Diploma in Applied Travel and Tourism course at Otago
Polytechnic. Further information will be added to the mini conference
page, so please keep checking back. I do hope that a number of you
will be able to attend this session.

I am looking forward to the other events as well.

Hi Rach

I think the reason you have given is an extremely valid excuse, as I too have an awfully heavy workload at work.  It certainly doesn’t help  that these mini conferences are set down for a time when our own students are sitting exams and finishing off their study.

Cheers

Heather

There's always the evenings...I have found I get the biggest number of people attending online meetings/classes in the evenings,   Sarah

Yes, I understand that thanks Sarah, but it also depends on the presenters commitments and their availability.

Ahh yes...that age old quandary of finding a time that suits everyone...one of the problems an online facilitator has to get around  :)
