Exciting news: Hot off the press

I am extremely thrilled to announce that we are joining up with another group of people looking at the same issues as us, via a course called iFacilitate - here is the link to the iFacilitate course. This course is being facilitated by Dr Greg Walker at the Leeward Community College, Hawaii. Greg did a fantastic session for us last year in which he talked about facilitating asynchronous communication.

Here are the blogs of the iFacilitate participants. Please feel free to drop by the blogs and say hello. Greg and I would like to encourage you to join the conversations they are having - at the same as they will join us.

Greg and I have scheduled live web conferences over the next few weeks in such a way that we'll all be able to join together. So please join us...I know we'll learn heaps from each other.

Hello Sarah, everyone,

I participated in the Online Facilitation course in 2010 and have been watching as you all get ready for the course in 2011 - I can just feel the excitement. It was great meeting some of you online today in your Elluminate webinar.

When I read this item from you Sarah, I was really excited - what a fabulous synchronicity you and Greg have. I've been over to the iFacilitate and I've joined in there too. I am really impressed with what can be done with Googlesites and Googlegroups and I'm learning and applying my learning from iFacilitate already. Greg, I have to thank you for giving me a spark of an idea for developing a short course with Google tools for our Eportfolio Community of Practice (EpCoP) where we already have a google group too.

A little about me and what I do voluntarily - I co-moderate a schedule of Elluminate Webinars for educators called the Australia Series and we run regular sessions on a whole range of exciting and up-to-the-minute workshops, presentations and discussions on elearning, eT@lking and e-portfolios, to name a few.

You are all most welcome to join us for the second eFacilitate webinar at 17:00 GMT+11 on Monday March 28th.
What would you include in an eFacilitator Job Description?
