Day Trip - Saturday 20th July

Hello everyone,

 

Hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine! I believe it’s my turn to organise a trip this month. The scheduled date is next weekend, so I propose arranging it for Saturday 20^th July.

 

Unfortunately I’m unable to make that weekend (or any weekend this month!). However, I’ll happily arrange the route, give you as much information as I can, and organise putting people together for transport, etc. Anyone going along will obviously have to satisfy themselves that they know where they’re going and that the route is within their capabilities. The destination allocated to me is a ‘Glencoe Scramble/Ridgewalk’, which presents a great range of very enjoyable possibilities. Consequently it’s probably best if I attempt to tailor a day trip to suit those who wish to go on it.

 

In the first instance could those interested please let me know, and also include a rough assessment of your scrambling ability, based on the following scale:

1.     Walking or nothing

2.     Little or no scrambling experience, but keen and with a reasonable head for heights and a bit of exposure

3.     Some/lots of scrambling experience

 

Please register your interest by this Thursday (11^th) – I’ll try and issue the route plan on Friday / over the weekend. And if anyone can let me know what the club has already done in Glencoe, that would be useful.

I would like to come but I can’t promise that I will be able to make it. There are too many things on my plate right now. I should be able to make a firm decision at some point next week.

I believe that you could count me as grade 3 for scrambling.
