Carn na Drochaide is only 3 hours up and back, if the plan is only a short walk then I’d rather do something closer to home!
If I was heading to Beinn a' Bhuird or Ben Avon going via Carn na Drochaide makes for a good alternative route. If the plan is to make a day of it, then I’d suggest one or the other of those two hills. We could cut short or do some low level walks if the conditions are not good (safe) higher up, which might be the case at this time of year. If the weather is poor or the cloud is low there are still some very nice low level walks to be had in that area, but not a great hill if there is no view to be had.

Hello All,
Walk Two in the Fachan programme for 2013 takes us to the Cairngorms. That is now 4 weeks away...
I am now proposing that we walk Carn na Drochaide (818m alt) on Saturday 13 commencing at 9:30am from Linn of Quoish (http://goo.gl/maps/7lUDR, also see attached).
I have some ideas in mind for Sunday if there is a demand...
