YEAH JAX!

I was rotflmao when Jax punched Sonny. Best moment on GH in a long
time. Now we just need more people punching Sonny and while they are
at it can they take out Claudia too.

Yes, Claudia and her flaring, constantly damp (from tears and snot)
nostrils! Who the heck does Sonny think he is, some kind of mob
king? hahahaha I laughed as well. Actually, I was just as glad to
see Sonny give it back to Jax - he needs to be taken down a peg or two
occasionally as well.

At least they FINALLY scooted Robin off to who-knows-where so THAT
storyline will be squashed, for awhile at least. Now, if we could get
rid of Rebecca we'd be all set.

HA!  If I was a guy, I would have clocked Sonny, too....he was way out of line.  I just couldn't believe Jax finally found his cojones, just in time.  Although, I don't understand, why Jax went to Jason today, to ask him to not do anything about Jerry, until after Carly's pregnancy proceeds?  You gotta give it to this guy....he's got some nerve....years ago, didn't he go and ask Sonny to get Jerry out of the country, for his own good, after some dastardly deed (I forget what).  What's the dif, if Jason whacks Jerry now or later.....oh, right, Jax mentioned that Carly would be upset if it were Jason who were to be hurt, in that match-up.

THANK GOD Robin has been committed.  Voluntarily, involuntarily - I don't care.  And, seriously, not to make light of post-partum depression, but I wish she would die from it.  This character is the most annoying (I've said it before), condescending, person on any soap I think I've ever watched.....and, I don't think she's gonna be winning any acting awards, anytime soon.  Not at least as far as I'm concerned.  Watching Robin McCullough act out the role of Robin Scorpio, is almost physically painful for me to watch, and I'm wondering if her character has the same first name, as her real name, because she might forget to answer when called? I think if TPTB really want to push the envelop on social ills, let's have her commit suicide.  No disrespect.  But, I don't think this has been approached yet (has it?), except for Powell, on OLTL, who committed suicide, after participating in the gang rape of Marty, years ago.....who, now, magically (am I wrong?) has reappeared on the scene.  Apparently, people who kill themselves, might not actually be dead, DEAD, as opposed to "soap" dead, just like characters that (don't) die from other causes, natural or otherwise.

I really can't stress enough, how much this actress/character annoys me, and I think the show would be a lot better off, if she were to fly off to Paris, again, and stay there.  The French can have her.  Au Revoir (I wish)

But Mare, tell us how you really feel?! Robin is wearin' on my last
nerve as well. On a previous incarnation on the show, when she was
with Stone, then Jason, etc., she was not like she is now. She was a
goody-goody, as I recall, very sensible, very caring, a do-anything-
for-ya kind of gal. I don't know when she became the perfectionist -
I honestly don't recall her being like that before. Of course, it
doesn't help my memory at all when the other characters confirm that
she has always been a perfectionist, but I just don't recall that at
all. She is annoying for sure - I'm not sure how poor Patrick puts up
with her.

I'm not sure I agree with you about the suicide - I'm still wrapping
my head around the same sex marriage Gumby got herself into on AMC
(don't watch that one any more, just heard about it on commercials,
etc.). Plus, I don't think there is a "tasteful", or for that matter,
"correct" way to portray suicide. It's unfortunate people find
themselves in that position that they feel it is their only option.
Last year my finance's younger sister (age 26) committed suicide after
suffering for years with Crohn's disease. The entire family was
devastated, particularly since there was no note or anything, but they
assume she was suffering another flareup and just couldn't handle it
any more.

Oh, and her name isn't Robin - it's Kimberly.

OMG!  Fee...I'm so sorry...I knew I was gonna regret it, but I really didn't mean to offend....I was speaking of a character on a soap, and should have realized that there's just no good way to portray a suicide SL.  I'm especially sorry to hear about your fiancee's (?) sister.  That must be a terrible burden on a family, one that I just can't appreciate, because I've never experienced it.  But, truly....I meant no offense....I just want Robin gone.  I don't care if it's by a car, I don't care if it's in Jake's bar.  I don't care if she's at home; I don't care if she chose to roam....I just want her off the show; really now, she's got to go.

She was bearable with Stone, but then again, I was working during the day, and this was before Soapnet or TIVO, so I really only have the "flashbacks", and I think the actor that portrayed him, and the writing, made KIMBERLY MCCULLOUGH (mi bad & no relation) look good.  I sorta liked her with Jason, but she was well on her way to becoming the annoying creature she is, by then.

Whaddaya mean he's not your "finance"?  TOO FUNNY!

I was afraid it was going to sound like I was offended by your post,
but I was not, so no harm done. I just am having trouble dealing with
some of the crap they are incorporating into the soaps these days -
crap I don't want to deal with, I guess. I stopped watching OLTL when
Clint had some kind of accident and was in a coma, then proceeded to
go back to the "Wild West" as a town sheriff or something. Sheesh!!!
Too much of this stuff just suspends reality. Course, back in "my"
day (waaaay back when) it was shocking when a woman was pregnant who
wasn't married, or who was married but didn't know who the father
was. And I remember a SL on OLTL when a black man was running for
political office and was dating Carla, who I think was Jim Craig's
secretary or something. She had a very light complexion (she was
black) and she was worried that his political career would be ruined
by his dating a woman who could "pass for white". SCANDALOUS! It's
unfortunate we live in an age where we are so desensitized, or afraid
to say we don't like something, that we are just numb to the crap
going on around us. Like all the mob crap...Oh well. Mary, no harm
done, so no apology necessary.

We are getting ready for that little horse race down the road in that
"other" town (boooo) - looks like the weather is going to be soggy and
coolish. The best part about that is all the ladies in their "finery"
trying to look dignified when the wind is blowing their skirt up over
their hat!!! hahaha I know, I know, I'm mean...

Happy May Day, everybody! Watch the Derby and think of me and Cat...
