In reference to your first message, please note that Exporter DG is
only for the Daz Genesis mesh, it will not work with other meshes.
In reference to your second message, perhaps your Daz Studio 4 library
is in a non-standard location. Please download and try the latest
version (1.2) which can handle non-standard DS4 library locations.
Best wishes,
You need to locate your DS4 default content library path and set it using the instructions below.
To locate the path, look for the sub-path:
data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base/Genesis.dsf
Which resides in your DS4 default content library path.
Find the file:
/Users/USERNAME/AppData/Roaming/DAZ 3D/dzInstall.ini
Then edit the file to change the value of the tag:
dzStudio4DefaultContent
For example:
dzStudio4DefaultContent=E:/DirOnMyUSBDrive/
Do not include the sub-path this WON'T WORK:
dzStudio4DefaultContent=E:/DirOnMyUSBDrive/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base/Genesis.dsf
could you please help me, I very pressed by the time, I have project in which I will intergrate my 3D face and I want to export a .obj head by usind facegen exporter and Daz studio 4.6
thank you in advance
Hi,
the 'dzInstall.ini' contains :
***************************
[ContentPath]
dzContentLastDir=C:\Users\aflis\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio3/content
dzStudioContentLastDir=C:\Users\aflis\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio3/content
dzStudio4DefaultContent=J:/DirOnMyUSBDrive/
[ApplicationPath]
dzStudio3InstallDir=C:\Program Files (x86)\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio3
dzStudio4InstallDir-64=C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4
[InstalledApplications]
dzStudioInstalls=dzStudio4InstallDir-64
[InstalledApplicationKeys]
dzStudio4AppData=C:\Users\aflis\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4
dzStudio4RunOnce=C:\Users\aflis\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\RunOnce
dzStudio4MappedContent=HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\DAZ\Studio4
**************************
the install path of DAZ Studio is : C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4
and the install path of facegen is : C:\Program Files (x86)\FaceGen\Exporter DG Demo 1
I have also created another installation of facegen exporter in my flash drive as explained in this link : http://www.facegen.com/exporterManual.htm
could the
problem come from the fact that I am using a 64bit Daz view application and a
32bit facegen exporter??
Thanks in advance.
Gaya.
