Is there a way to have facegen make gen maps?

In the latest version 2.1 of FaceGen Artist, you can select any custom body maps when exporting.

The FaceGen face map will be merged into these and the skin color adjusted appropriately.

FaceGen Artist only provides a face map, and merges it seamlessly with your body map.

Any details of the body map must be supplied by you.

What you need to do is select a gen map for any of the non-face maps (e.g., substitute a gen map for a torso map), and it will color adjust for you. Just need to prompt it to save under another name so it does not overwrite the existing torso (or arm/leg) map.

Sorry to dig up a dead thread, but this doesn't seem to be working for me.   I choose custom, then when I click the torso button I just the michael 8 gens image, and after I export, it just replaces my torso image with the gens image, and there is no color adjustment.  Is there a step I'm missing when I do this?

Just to be clear, which figure did you select, and did you select 'Custom' under 'Select color maps' and also select the matching maps for the other body areas ?

Color adjustment does happen, however in some cases it's incorrect. This will be fixed in an update at the end of this month.

Best wishes,

I'm using Genesis 8 male, and I did use custom.

What I did was I first generated all the regular maps, then when under custom I clicked the torso button, and browsed to a jpg of a michael 8 gens.  After I click export it just renames the gens image as torso, but no change in color.  I wasn't sure if I was missing a step.  BTW, it would be nice if one was generated automatically. =)

What you did will not work.

If you use the generated maps from a previous export they've already been color-corrected to match the face.

Thus they will not match the gen map.

And since color correction is calculated from the face map, no more will be applied.

What you need to do is select the gen map along with the other ORIGINAL maps that it matches.

I will look into making gen map selection easier in future.

Best wishes,
