JOIN US Sept 13, 2011- 8:00 PM @ PlazAmerica Sun Room for a Viewing of "Face the Truth: Racial Profiling Across America" and a conversation to END Racial Profiling!
"Face the Truth: Racial Profiling Across America” is a powerful documentary produced by Breakthrough and the Rights Working Group featuring stories of individuals affected by racial profiling and educational interviews with notable law enforcement and civil society leaders. The video released alongside the Rights Working Group report “Faces of Racial Profiling: A Report from Communities Across America” underscores the need to stop racial profiling by federal, state and local law enforcement.
Racial and religious profiling is a pervasive problem that affects many communities across the country. Not only is racial and religious profiling humiliating and degrading for the people subjected to it, it is unconstitutional and violates fundamental human rights, it is an ineffective law enforcement practice, and it damages community safety.

"Face the Truth: caracterización racial a través de América". Es un poderoso documental producido por Avance y el Grupo de Trabajo sobre los Derechos presenta historias de personas afectadas por la discriminación racial y las entrevistas con las autoridades educativas y líderes notables de la sociedad civil. El video dado a conocer junto con el Grupo de Trabajo sobre los Derechos informe "los rostros de perfil racial: Un informe de Comunidades a través de América" pone de relieve la necesidad de parar la discriminación racial por la policía federal, estatal y local.
La discriminación racial y religiosa es un problema generalizado que afecta a muchas comunidades en todo el país. No sólo es la discriminación racial y religiosa humillante y degradante para el pueblo sometido a la misma, es inconstitucional y viola los derechos humanos fundamentales, es una práctica aplicación de la ley ineficaz, y que daña la seguridad de la comunidad.
