I am trying to download the Yale Face Database B from its home page
http://cvc.yale.edu/projects/yalefacesB/yalefacesB.html.

However the file link is dead
ftp://plucky.cs.yale.edu/CVC/pub/images/yalefacesB/TarSets/

Does anybody know of any mirror site of the database?

Thanks a lot.

I think I got it from here: http://cvc.yale.edu/projects/yalefaces/yalefaces.html

Thanks Markus.

Your link is for Yale Face Database, not B. See the list of the two
databases at
http://cvc.yale.edu/

Just had a quick look at my chronic. Is this what you are looking for?

Thanks Markus. Unfortunately, it's yet another database called
*Extended* Yale Face Database B.
The problem of this database is that it only provides cropped images
for a *single* pose (P00A).

The original "Yale Face Database B" database is exactly located at
http://cvc.yale.edu/projects/yalefacesB/yalefacesB.html.
And its real data files reside on a (dead) ftp:
ftp://plucky.cs.yale.edu/CVC/pub/images/yalefacesB/TarSets/

Did you try that link? I got ExtendedYaleB on my HDD and it's neither cropped nor is there only one pose (there are 10). And I'm pretty sure that's the link. The exact location would be http://vision.ucsd.edu/extyaleb/ExtendedYaleB.tar.bz2 (2GB).

Yes, you are right. There are two files on the page:

1. http://vision.ucsd.edu/extyaleb/ExtendedYaleB.tar.bz2
It does have all the poses, but it isn't cropped.

2. http://vision.ucsd.edu/extyaleb/CroppedYaleBZip/CroppedYale.zip
It is cropped, but it has only one pose (P00A).

What I'm looking for is both cropped and all poses. The Yale Face
Database B meets my need, but the ftp is dead.

You could try a face detector to crop automatically, like the one from OpenCV with a binding language of your choice.

In case anyone finds this thread and wants an answer: I've found that this link works - http://www.cise.ufl.edu/~anand/fa05/YFD/
