Hi Ramji,
I would suggest the following to start your research:
Title: "Aggregation of classifiers based on image transformations in
biometric face recognition"
Authors: Gabriel Jarillo, Witold Pedrycz and Marek Reformat
Journal: Machine Vision and Applications, Volume 19, Number 2 / March,
2008.
This paper explains on some approaches to deal with face recognition
under various illumination and pose conditions.
You should also check the classical paper:
P. N. Belhumeur, J. P. Hespanha, and D. J. Kriegman, “Eigenfaces vs.
Fisherfaces: Recognition Using Class Specific Linear Projection”, IEEE
Trans. on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, Vol. 19, No. 7,
pp. 711-720, July 1997.
This paper talks about "fisherfaces" - a classical approach to deal
with illumination conditions.
As for the code, you may want to take a look at the "OpenCV" library.
It comes with a comprehensive tool package for face recognition.
I hope this gives you a starting point.
Kind regards,
--
