I was in Maplin's today and I saw that they're now selling UP! printers for the princely sum of €2350.  I'm not 100% sure that was the price but it's close enough. Is there anywhere else in the city selling printers that people have seen?  I know there's the shop in Rathmines but I hadn't seen them elsewhere before now.

Maplin seems to have 2 printers on offer:
http://www.maplin.co.uk/up-plus-2

and

http://www.maplin.co.uk/velleman

The Dublin stores may not have both in stock.

I hadn't seen the Velleman, I don't think they're selling it in store in Dublin at least.  I wonder how sturdy it is.  I've never seen one of them before, the X and Y movement in the base frame looks odd to me.  I guess it might be a bit more sturdy than it looks if the Z axis is only moving up slowly during a print.
