Kapton tape

Does anybody know of a cheaper tape to use than Kapton? The thermistor is quite loose in my hotend and I was recommended Kapton tape to wrap around the hotend to secure it in place. The thing is, Kapton tape is pretty expensive and I only need a small bit to wrap the hotend. Is there a more affordable alternative?

Jb weld should b stocked in halfords or a good auto repair store....

U could also peel the heat warning sticker from the inside of ur microwave and cut to shape and apply, it is super heat resistant.

they might have some in the heat treatment lab on UCD, went there as a lad, so might b able to connect u if ur stuck

Just bought some from a seller in Limerick on ebay. I hadn't even thought of ebay for some reason. €5 for a delivered roll of 12mm Kapton tape.
