This is a free major jam.
This event has no entrance fee and is open to all Balloon Twisters' and Face Painters' of all levels. All attendees must provide their own art supplies. You will be able to meet the instructors in the Jam Room (Teachers Circle) at that time the Instructors will inform you of the class category and fee. Fee is payable to the Instructor on the day of the event. Parking Church parking lot is located on the west side of State Street. Additional parking at the Hospital entrance off Cesar E. Chavez (Parking fee $7.50 will be charged). After 1030pm no fee will be charged. So. Cal Balloon Twisters & Face Painters Round – Up Competition Guidelines Competitions and vote. Your ballot will be given to you at the day of the event. You are not required to compete or to vote, but you are forbidden from giving your ballot to anyone else. You may build your competition pieces at any time and in any place. You must put your entries in the competition area between noon and 8pm on the day of the event. The entries will close at 8 pm promptly. No exceptions. Large Figure Competition Thursday August 27th, 2009 12 noon - 9 pm Medium Figure Competition Thursday August 27th, 2009 12 noon - 9 pm Small Figure Competition Thursday August 27th, 2009 12 noon - 9 pm Please bring your entries to the registration desk and receive a numbered tag. The convention organizers will verify the size category. Attach the tag to your piece in a conspicuous manner. Take the piece with the tag showing to the photography area and place it in front of the backdrop. A So. Cal. Round – up photographer will then take a picture of it. Finally, place the entry in the proper section of room. Once the Sculpture is in place, it cannot be touched. Voting will take place the day of the event All ballots must be placed in the voting boxes by Thursday August 27th, 2009
8 pm sharp. No exceptions. Your votes must be written legibly. The Golden Pump Award Will be given to the Balloon Twister with the highest score in any given competition. SMALL: You may only enter one figure per category. The Golden Brush Award Will be given to the face painter with the highest score in any given competition.
