this is what I have for question #3.  The items that are in bold are items that I think need more information or correction.

Hi Helene,

What statements are you looking at?  I pulled 2010/2011 for Canada nationwide.  These the same that you are looking at?

you have to use 2007 as indicated in the assignment - the link is also posted along with the assignment.

Helene,

is there a reason why you are not including the income earned under
the externally restricted fun in part d?

what percentage of years revenue was spent on fundraising - you only used the numbers under operations to calculate.

Oh ya there was 52K spent on fund raising divided by the total revenue - that is what I understood that they were looking for

the amount you had in your word doc is Revenues for 2007 = 176,920. Fundraising costs = 50,292. 50292/176,920 = 28.43%.

i am including The amount spend on fundraising (in thousands of dollars) in the operations fund $50,292, in the externally restricted fund $36, for a total of $50,328.  Total revenue is $176,920 in the operations fund, $8,395 in the externally restricted fund, for a total of $185,315.  The percentage is 50,328/185,315 = 0.2715 so 27.15%.

anyone else get the same amount?

Yes that is correct. Do you think that it should be something different? On blackboard - the calc seemed to be correct.

yes i am thinking we need to include the operations and restricted for
total revenue. the cash flow statements increase in resources (net
income) $4,773 is (209)+4982 from the statement of financial
activities.
