I'd put in a word for instincts. Evidence is essential but alone it
can be cold, clinical. Adding instincts is adding spice.

Yeah, it's like Klee said:
"When intuition is joined to exact research, it
can greatly speed up exact research. There is
no substitute for intuition."

Don Wilkes:
>GO GET SOME EVIDENCE!

Well, sure. My point was that you should get try to get
evidence before you post accusatory images in public.

On the other hand, relying too much on "evidence" turns
one into a hermit too afraid to leave the house.

It's a tricky balance, for sure. I know
because I've messed up dozens of times. :-\

>I expected better from you, considering your love of argument.

:-)
Argument is great, but posting a "sans commentaire"
inflammatory image on a public website is weak.

Also, before you send "the boys" over, communicate.

Yup. Couldn't have said it better myself. :-) Seriously, intuition
(closely related but not identical to creativity) cannot always be on
the point. But it's color, it's spice - it's life.

I have noticed that the two fonts created especially for online
typography, Georgia and Verdana, have individual letter designs that
are a bit wide. That's especially true for the bold versions. Hence
the character count (number of letters or words per line) is somewhat
low. Does anyone know why this is so and/or what the thinking behind
that is?
