HP Tape library problem

Dear friends,

Hi,
I have connected a HP SureStore 4/40 (containing four
DLT 8000) to Sun Enterprise 5500 via Fiber Channel.
After resolving many problems, the system knew the drivers
and built the expected links for drivers in /dev/rmt.
But when I try mt or tar, the commands hang completely.
