restore errors

I have a compaq as40/tru64 with a dlt8000 for back up. I've made a
backup o a tape using vdump and everything was OK. But when i've tried
to make a restore using vrestore i received an error msg "(5) i/o
error" or something like this. The dlt could not read from the
fileset. I'm asked if i want to retry. If entered "n" the restore
procedure is terminated

Q: may i by-pass this error and continue the restore of the other
