I have received email messages from John Turner and Jean-Marc Narbonne that our colleague Zeke Mazur has died overnight. It was sudden, and the cause of death is not yet known. His wife Sasha, to whom I spoke a short while ago, has requested an autopsy.

Zeke was an active member of ISNS and a prolific author and researcher on topics involving Plotinus and the Gnostics. A list of his publications, including PDFs, can be found on his web site:

Zeke was a devoted husband and father and one of the gentlest human beings I have known. He will be greatly missed. The field of Neoplatonic Studies and all of us have suffered a great loss.
