Call for Submissions — Practical Philosophy

Practical Philosophy — the journal of the Society for Philosophy in
Practice — publishes new ideas in the field of Philosophical Practice from
Practical Philosophers worldwide.

Essays contributing to our knowledge of Philosophical Practice are always
welcome. Topics may include the influence and application of Practical
Philosophy on the individual, Philosophical Counselling, Socratic
Dialogue, Philosophy with Children and Groups, as well as novel ideas on
the application of philosophy or its methods.

Issue 9:1 (January 2008), featured articles under the heading ‘Applying
Philosophy in Life’; 9:2 (July 2008) had a range of articles falling
broadly under the title ‘Us and Others’; 10:1 (January 2009) includes
essays on the Interface between Philosophy and the Modern World; 10:2
(July 2009) will concentrate on Philosophical Practice in General and 11:1
(January 2010) will cover Perspectives on Practical Philosophy.

Essays for 10:2 (any area of Philosophical Practice)—publication date July
2009, deadline March 2009) and 11:1 (Perspectives on Practical Philosophy)—
publication date January 2010, deadline 30 September 2009) are currently
being taken.

All essays are blind peer reviewed.

If you want to discuss any ideas which you think might be suitable, or if
you wish to make a submission, please contact or submit an initial
abstract of no more than 300 words to Gerald Rochelle editor@practical-
philosophy.org.uk with the subject ‘Essay for PP’.
