Hmm. Must have been a bug in Mozilla then. Weird. It works OK for me
again now. Slightly frightening.

I got 404 yesterday when trying to browse the mail-index archives.
Unfortunately I didn't investigate further, but I think it's possible
that the source of the problem was what you describe here. See [1].
As you said, it works fine now.
