Ok. So nothings been working so I resorted back to the old "trial and
error" methods. I started going backwards from RH 6.2 and installing every
RH release on back (yes...for some reason I have em all). The only one I
didn't try was 6.0 cause it's at my house. RH 6.1 gives me the same errors
as 6.2, but 5.2 (as I already knew) does not. RH 5.2 DOES NOT have a
/etc/default/lang either! So there's something else. I am using the same
SCO programs, but no errors now.

So it's got to be some difference with something. (<-- That was insightful,
huh?).

Anyone RH'ers that can enlighten me as to the differences (as they pertaing
to iBCS, the kernel, and the libraries .... libc, gilbc, whatever)?

Since the error message seems to come from libc, I would expect it to be
something there. Any ideas?

I have iBCS working nicely on rh-6.2 for sysvr3 apps.
Try:
