First of all, thanks to everyone who helped. Thanks to Jim Troutman's
email, we're working now.
It simply took finding the right values to use for the locale settings and
putting them in /etc/sysconfig/i18n.....not /etc/default/lang like libc was
complaining about. Didn't look too much into it after it was fixed, but
apparently /etc/profile.d/lang.sh looks in /etc/sysconfig/i18n for vaules
and if it cannot find them, the next step is /etc/profile.d/lang.sh.
Anyway, a working /etc/sysconfig/i18n for me was as follows:
LANG="english_us.ascii"
LC_ALL="en_US"
LINGUAS="en_US"
Still gotta get the "one day off" problem fixed, but as many of you have
said it can be fixed with a patch from SCO's website. Hopefully I can get a
SCO box up and get these binaries patched (as I have turned the SCO machines
here to linux). Again thanks everyone.
