Problem with Informix

I have the iBCS driver loaded up, on RedHat Linux 6.1, but every time I
run the SCO UNIX program, under Informix 4GL, I get the error
"-922. Cannot get current working directory"

I've checked the permissions on the database, and I can read and access
the
data directory, no problem. It is listed in the DBPATH variable. The
shlib is
set up, and the sqlexec demon runs properly, but somehow, the program
cannot find the database. Any suggestions ?
