Hi,
I tested bladeenc, but it doesn't want to encode my own .wav files
(recorded with krecord, 44.1kHz, 16bit/channel, Stereo)
and says that my .wav file is'nt 32kHz nor 44.1 ...

So, who knows another mp3 encoder ?

There are many. Gogo works really great for me. Try looking on
freshmeat.net for cdr programs and then follow those links.

Hi!
I am using l3enc/l3dec
it is a command-line-oriented program with lots of options.
(there's no menu interface) but once you read the manual and
create a script or batch program with all the options desired it is
very simple.
Also there is a TCL/TK interface "MP3 Studio" which simplifies all
the options.
One Caveat:
l3enc/l3dec is shareware with a date limit.
I have not downloaded an updated version, I am using an old version.
I avoid the date limit by changing the date before running it :-)
bye!
