looking for a "call" tracing app

Hello everybody,
I'm looking for an application that makes things comparable to
Sun Solaris's "truss"
$> truss foo.exe
shows every system calls that foo.exe makes during its execution.

What is the equivalent under Linux ? (if it exists...)
