Hi all,

My figetty won't start. When I type /etc/init.d/hylafax restart (or stop/start), I see :
HylaFAX: faxq hfaxd (without SNPP support).
And if I type ps -e |grep fax
7200 ? 00:00:00 faxgetty 7517 ? 00:00:00 faxq 7520 ? 00:00:00 hfaxd
What I must to do in order to fix it, in other server it is works without any adcional effort.
Thanks!

Hi!
Usually you only have to enable it in /etc/inittab and do an "init q"
afterwards to force a re-read of inittab.

This is what I have in my /etc/inittab for that. You have to edit /dev/ttyS0
to what you use as serial port to the modem.

# fax getty (hylafax)
fax:35:respawn:/usr/lib/fax/faxgetty /dev/ttyS0
