[hylafax-users] Notification sent anyway

To be sure, after many unsuccessfully attempts, we have changed all
NOTIFY_FAXMASTER instance, as shown below. We want to receive only modem
problems (i.e. wedged), not fax received. We need fax received for a
while but now we don't need anymore. We like to leave FaxMaster alias,
perhaps we havo to delete this alias and change "TOADDR=FaxMaster" in
wedged script. Anyone explain how different notification processes work
? In what sequence ? so we can correctly configure notification.

We changed those files:

In /var/spool/hylafax/bin/pollrcvd
...
#NOTIFY_FAXMASTER=always
NOTIFY_FAXMASTER=never

in /var/spool/hylafax/etc/FaxDispatch

I think you have to specify something other than "always" in faxrcvd. You can't just comment it out because it's a default setting. Try setting it to "error" or "never".

As explained on http://hylafax.sourceforge.net/man/notify.php Default NOTIFY_FAXMASTER value is 'no'.
But also by setting the value to errors or never in faxrcvd we receive the message !

We cannot disable notification on receiving faxes ! We need help to
receive modem or other serious errors but not to be spam with received
faxes notifications

OS: CentOS
Hylafax: hylafax-server-6.0.5-1rhel5 (rpm)
