As I metioned in my initial email, restarting the modem fixes the
problem, and I also suspected it might be a hardware issue.

That being said, my next question be a stupid one, but before I go out
and spend money, is there a modem that is considered "the best" for use
with hylafax.

every month and the answers usually do not change.
