hi!
After latest changes in FreeBSD i have another behavior for applications
such as vi, ee, vim ...
Previously - if I open file for edit and close it - on screen stay file
text. Now, if I close file - on screen - nothing - only
'vim /etc/rc.conf'
Some behavior for top.
if I set TERM=cons25r - it as an before, but, vim's behavior not
adequacy - it forget about many keyboard buttons (such as arrow)

I see it only with using X - in clean console - all OK.
if I open ssh session to remote server - all OK.
Problem exists only locally.

I guess you haven't checked the FreeBSD-CURRENT mailing list archives.
Please consult the following thread:

Why would one wait, when there's a working solution like
http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/svn-src-head/2009-July/009102.html ?

(Myself, I like the default *xterm* behaviour; it keeps my xterm
sessions clean.)

for clean, use "clear" command

what's use for reading man and typo command from man - second console?
for reproduce command from script?
default behavior for FreeBSD - stay screen on place.
