I called the ACLU to see if there was anything in the courts along
these lines or, if not, what could be done. They told me that the
supreme court decided that since we leave our finger prints "just laying
around" all over the place, they were not protected under privacy laws.
Anyone can ask for our finger prints.
What is more disturbing, is that by this "logic" our DNA also would
not be protected by privacy laws. After all, we deposit our hair and
skin cells all over the place. Hmmm.
I'm curious why no one is speaking out against this. Especially here.
Texans are always going on and on about how individualistic they are and
how evil "big" government. But when something like this comes along,
they just follow along like sheep.
And of all people, the democrats are the ones pushing for this. The
republicans are opposed. One of the democratic senators from California
(I don't remember which) even proposed a national identity card that
would include a photo, finger prints, and a retina scan. (my source for
this last bit was disinfo.com). the prez even supported it.
And big brother gets ever closer.

Yeah in california you have to have a fingerprint and your pic. I don't like
the idea that they have it either. especialy cuz they get your finger print
when u put it on this glass thing, with no ink.

ACLU sometimes is not very helpful. But we should have a right to not give a
copy that is officaly ours away. "Hey! get back here with my finger print!"

We'll never know how far a gov't will go to keep track of people. Next to get
your licence they'll need dna, and fingerprints, and toe prints, and a pic,
and a body print.......it willl never stop. There is a movie out, but I can't
remeber what its called...It was about a world where parents geneticals chose
their children, and if u wern't made that way, u were descriminated against,
and couldn't have a good job, they took tons of scans to get in the building.
Everyone was a clone, it was terrible! If I ever remeber the name I'll tell u.

Thats all we are taught to do at school. Probly becuase nobody thinks about it
until it is to late. Same thing with the 2000 bug...shouldn't we start getting
ready for if the gov't crashes?

Next it will be bar codes on our hands. Insted of (il)legal abortions, we'll
have to deal with illeagal bar code removing. Ouch

No, big brothers already here, he just hasn't announced it yet. The gov't
doesn't want us to know anything hardly. Where should we go now?

It's a good sci-film with a serious theme.
