I talked with Mr. Tang again after he talked with Xiaoqing.
Xiaoqing said that Guowei left no specific wishes, and Xiaoqing is
pleased that many of us will attend Guowei's funeral.
Xiaoqing will accompany Guowei back to a funeral home with Jessica and
this is private. Therefore, we should follow Yiping's lunch plan.
Another non-local group will attend the funeral service. We should try
to lead them to the same restaurant for lunch so that Xiaoqing can meet
us together later.
Yiping, Mr. Tang does not have the contact with the other group. I will
keep asking. If you like, you can contact him directly on this.
Hopefully, we can have such contact earlier. The group are Xiaoqing's
and Guowei's friends in PA where they worked for several years.

I just called Mr. Tang and discussed the following items:
1. The church is very open on the flower (wreath) selection. And he
encourage us to use different web site to order because many of local
people used the same web site. So most of the flowers are similar.
Nevertheless, he agrees to take a look of the final selection. Xiaoyu,
Jiang Feng and Chiuping are taking care of that.
2. The presentation can be delivered in Chinese and that is preferred.
The church will provide instant translation.
3. Slide show is welcome and there will be a place to show. As the
content of the speech, everything that will appear in the service should
be previewed by Xiaoqing. Any one takes the lead?
4. Mr. Tang will try to find the contact information of the other group
and pass it to us. Yiping, the other group is of 5-6 persons. We can
even coordinate our activities on the same day if we failed to find the
contact information.
5.The local church does not have any plan to set up a foundation
account. So far, when Xiaoqing was asked about the relevant issue, his
opinion is not clear. I agree with what Mr. Tang said, what we plan to
do is to express our feeling and condolence. Xiaoqing will decide later
what he will accept or not. No matter what, he knows we care. Of course,
in our position, we like to work out the best way to express our feeling
and make Xiaoqing feel a little more comfortable and more likely to accept.

for all the displays at the church need to be 100% completed by 9:45am sharp
on the 17th. So, the visitors will need to leave Columbus very early in the morning,
counting in the morning traffic factor.
I forwarded his request to Yiping and Xiaoyu already. Will follow Yiping's decision
on departure time.
There is no strict dress code at the church.
Conservative, clean and neat. Colors are fine.

I think we should be there earlier than most of others. Yiping will decide the depart time.
We can also go there in separate groups if necessary. I do not think traffic will be an issue
on Saturday.
Although there is no dress code, the American culture is to wear dark color (black) for the
outside wears. Inside, I think dark or white will be will fine. I plan to wear formal suit outside (dark),
white shirt with a black tie.

Thanks a lot! You must be very handy to figure out this. I never saw this kind of 木条 in Home Depot.
So I don't need to bring my 三脚架 with me. Yuan Heng will bring one and Yiping gets one. Two 三脚架 are enough for 备用 just in case something goes wrong.

Great. I think I have all the tools you listed. The only thing may be the drilling bits. I have 5/32”, 3/16”, 7/32”, and the largest is 1/4", plus a few smaller ones. So if those are not the size you need, then you may bring some drilling bits.
I also looked Hope Depot and Lowes stores near my home, they all have the 1x2 8 ft. strips:
Home Depot: 1 x 2 x 8 Furring Strip, $0.90, over 800 pieces inventory; 1 x 2 x 8 Pressure-Treated Pine Strip, $1.97, over 160 pieces inventory;
Lowes: 1 x 2 x 8 Premium Furring Strip, $0,97, not sure about the inventory, but I added 100 of them to the cart, and choose to pick up in the store, it shows OK. So I would guess they should have plenty.
I just looked my basement, and I think I run out of wood type sand papers. So I will buy some as well.
Now, based on the latest emails from Ruixin and Zhongping D., I will hold the purchase until tomorrow, after I pick up Zhongping D. in the morning. Then we can go to Home Depot or Lowes to pick the strips. And Zhongping D. and I can start work on them in the afternoon at my home. I may convince my son to help us as well after his school.

I just forwarded 雨生 's email to f7alt. The writing is beautiful but the paper has lot of 折痕。 唐先生 mentioned that for better display , we can put 宣纸together with white cloth (as the back) by using 别针 , then hang out. But he did not say how to hang out the cloth. I think, if we fix the cloth on 木条
with clips, then use some rope to hang on 三脚架 as the pictures i attached show. I don't know what kind of frame Ruixin can get . I welcome better toolsor better ideals for better display.
There is one more problem. the two wreathes Yuan Heng ordered for F7 and S7 and one for Xu Zhiqiao, have height about 36 inch. Please checkWe may need to increase the height by fixing the 支架 of wreath on the frame 金辉 did. We may have only 45 minutes or less to finish all the stuff.So we may still need four or five 三脚架 to hang 挽联 & 挽词, unless Ruixin gets some better frames.
Please buy me 薄 pine 木条( just like the 木 条 using to stir wall paint Home Depot offers, but longer) to hang cloth, when you guy goes shopping.

So, now, we have at least three tripods (Ruixin’s, Jinhui’s, and mine) and three easels (Ruixin’s).
And I think we should avoid people flying to bring heavy and inconvenient stuff, like tripod (I don’t think you can bring tripod as carry-on, right?).
Looks like we may still need to build some of our own wooden tripods, right? In any rate, I think I will still go buy some wood strips, say 10 to 15, just in case? If we don’t use them all, I can just return any unused ones. And since Zhongping D. comes early, we cannot let him sit around. :-)

Right now, it is quite clear what we will take with us or what we will have for setting things up.
You and Xiaoyu or Zhongping can decide what we potentially need and to buy the right stuff.
So far, I did not not contact Mr. Tang for this kind of support. before buying and fixing anything
by yourself, you may call Mr. Tang to see what we may have from the church, even the wall.
By the way, for holding the papers, foam boards may be an option. Please see:
